October Update

Good Afternoon Ashley!

I have been had both Tuesday and Wednesday off so Kari has been here in the store making changes based on numbers and new shipment we've been getting! Here are two photots of moves that we've made to get our buisness back on top for the weekend!

We created this voop in the hallway. The coop schoolhouse skirts have been doing pretty well for us and as they have been selling down they needed a new home. By pairing them with the cozy bdg instarsia sweater and warm scarf it we've created a great fall look that I think our custiomer will really love. The secondary room, which is next to the hallway will be Ice Cream for Breakfast and this voop will be a nice intro to what they will find inside.

This voop is the start of the Spellbound zone that we are transitioning to as we get more witchy shipment. We recently got the band of gypsies velvet crops in shipment and we watned to showcase these as we feel our customer will respond well to them. We also paired the Staring at Stars frock dress with new renewal flannels to give it some edege. As we get mroe spellbound-y items this voop will continue to be updated!

Let us know what you think! Talk to you soon.
Thanks, Libby and Kari

  1. Hi Libby and Kari!

Thanks for the photos. I dunno why this blog is giving us such a hard time. I've never had trouble with it before. Maybe the photos you are trying to upload are too big? You can also try uploading right from your phone. I do that sometimes.

    Okay so merch talk!
I think your ice cream for breakfast voop looks great! Very clean, straightforward but gets the idea of the zone across perfectly! The only thing I could even think to say if I had to would be...does it feel too "knitty" on the side with the sweaters and scarf? I don't think by any means you have to change this. I just wanted to say it to bring up the idea of placement through texture. You want to try and disperse your textures through a voop (just like you would do with color). But it looks great!

For the spellbound voop...I think you have all the right elements of spellbound, but the voop feels empty. There is a lot of negative space that you can utilize for more product. Can you pull the dress down so that you can faceout the other color of BOG velvet crop top or pull in another piece? My other thought would be to see if you can add a more dominant print onto the wall. It reads so dark and I know the zone IS soooooo dark, so its up to us to find ways to lighten it and keep it fun! We dont want it to feel too serious! Okay one more side note that may help with organic voop layouts in the furture...Wacc does not always have to be in a row. Since you already have one statement wacc piece on this wall (the scarves) you could work the bags throughout the voop and this could help you break up some of your dark colors. (I would keep the scarves in a row though otherwise they get messy.

Hope that all makes sense and is helpful! Haha. Lemme know if you are still having trouble with the blog and I'll take a look at it! Send me some outfitting sometime so I can get a look at what you guys have been up to!

    Thanks,
    Ashley
